Ornithologist, activist and writer René Corado sets off on a journey to help Guatemalan youth in need of education. October 19/2016: The E.L.F. (501) (C) (3) is a non-profit organization that is aiming to raise $30,000 for underprivileged Guatemalan youths afford an education. The foundation furthers this mission by providing scholarships and education to Guatemalan youths and their families as well as working with US school districts to provide guidance to Latino youth in our community. For the next 5 months René Corado and his inspirational team will be helping Guatemalan youths afford an education, as well as achieving their passions and dreams. February marks the start of a new school year, by then René hopes to achieve the goal of 30,000 dollars to put over 1,000 children in school. Being a complete non-profit organization, René, author of El Lustrador, wants to make a difference in children’s lives, making their world brighter and ours more diverse. Along the way, René will be hosting fundraisers and events where the Guatemalan culture will be shown in a positive and educating light. There will be a fundraiser held on November 1st from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at 2003 W 8th St Los Angeles. Must call (805) 336-4289 by October 22nd to reserve, a donation of $30 dollars per fiambre, a traditional Guatemalan dish. Check, money order and credit cards are accepted. A pound of fiambre Blanco or Rojo, is the dish that will be served. René Corado is a biologist and Collections Manager at the Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology in Camarillo California. He was born in Guatemala and has lived in California since 1981. He regularly volunteers his time at local hospitals, communities and jails to assist those in need with counseling. Oólogo, Biólogo y activista René Corado, inicia una aventura para ayudar con becas escolares a niños guatemaltecos de escasos recursos.
La Fundación “El Lustrador” (501C) (3), una organización no lucrativa, está buscando fondos que ascienden a $30,000.00 para apoyar a niños de escasos recursos a perseverar en su sueño de obtener una educación. René Corado también apoya a niños migrantes no acompañados que recién ingresan a Estados Unidos, recibiéndoles en grupos en el museo del cual es Gerente y dándoles un mensaje de apoyo y motivación. También trabaja como punto de apoyo a la juventud latina, en la comunidad del Condado de Ventura, en programas de recuperación de abuso de alcohol y otras drogas.
Por los próximos 5 meses. René Corado y su equipo inspirador de Voluntarios, estarán tratando de recaudar fondos para poder ayudar a la juventud guatemalteca, para que logren realizar sus sueños de una vida mejor. Febrero de 2017 se iniciará un nuevo año escolar en Guatemala, para entonces, René Corado espera lograr donativos por la cantidad de treinta mil dólares, si se logra, esto ayudaría con la inscripción de alrededor de mil niños en el sistema escolar educativo de Guatemala. Siendo ésta una fundación no lucrativa que trabaja en bienestar de la juventud guatemalteca, René Corado sueña con lograr marcar un cambio en la vida de éstos niños, Convirtiendo la vida de éstos niños en una más colorida y la nuestra con más valor humanitario.
